Can a guy still be like this and not be gay?
I’m not trying stereotype here but I think this guy that likes me may be gay and not as straight as he claims to be.
He’s 19 and he’s really interested in high fashion and a big fan of karl lagerfeld. He knows about designer brands and high fashion models. Most girls don’t even know how karl lagerfeld is, let alone a straight guy. He’ll say things about how he’s dressed in a cardigan and drinking expensive foreign coffee while listening to classical music. He’s a big advocate of gay rights.
He always eats organic food and lives in his own flat. He wears Louis Vuittion. He smokes a tobacco pipe. His favorite clothing stores are American Apparel and Urban Outfitters.
I’m getting the whole “gay guy friend” vibe from him. He has had an ex-girlfriend and she is very attractive and older than him.
I think he’s pretty cool and all, but can a guy still be like that and not be gay?

He may be gay, it is definitely a possibility. For hundreds of years, homosexuals have married and had children because they were forced to conformity or be outcast, and in some cases killed. Abraham Lincoln, who was actually gay (a fact most historians hide), actually had sex with a man while in the White House. It’s written in both his journal and his daughters. The reason my best friend (gay) isn’t open about his sexuality with most people is because he’s afraid of conflict and rejection. I (bisexual), on the other hand, am very open about my sexuality because I’m not afraid of rejection because I know my friends will still love me, nor am I afraid of conflict.
Although, he may also be metrosexual. A metrosexual, if you didn’t know, is someone who is straight, but acts like the stereotype of gay men (popularized by Hollywood’s lies). So he could in fact be trying to conform, or he could just be a very effeminate straight man who likes. Either way, it shouldn’t matter which one he is, because it’s perfectly fine to be either one.
