Sample Cigar
Cigar Afficianados……When buying cigars, what’s the best to get for sampling? I’m thinking of the?
Rocky Patels……
Rocky Patel does make a nice variety of cigars. The Vintage 1999 Connecticut wrapped cigar is a very nice lighter tasting cigar, the Edge Light and Edge are more medium range and the Vintage 1990 and 1992 are toward the stronger side. The Sun Grown is very tasty, and in the mid-strength range, as well, but they have been a bit hard to find lately.
Other brands that I like that have a wide variety of flavors are CAO, AVO, Romeo Y Julieta, La Flor Dominicana and Arturo Fuente.
In my opinion, Macanudo, no matter how popular it is, is not worth wasting your time and money on, because no matter how well it is constructed, it doesn’t taste like anything.
