How to get a vintage look to my artwork?

I’m thinking of a piece that I want to do on canvas involving newspaper, I want the newspaper to have an old vintage look to it, but still tell that its newspaper. What can I use to make it brownish? Like a sealant or something? I want it to look like this:

But that’s digital work. I want to know how to do that by hand. Thanks a bunch.

I thought I’d get smartass answers like paint it brown or something like that.

The way I would do it is to ‘glaze’ the newspaper (after it has been stuck and sealed on its support) with something like Raw Sienna (or Burnt Sienna for a warmer look).
These two colours are transparent, so ideal for what you want to do.

Maybe you could also find some old newspapers that have already yellowed with age?
